Amecet n'ainapakin (Shelter of Peace) is a ministry of Youth With A Mission (YWAM)in Soroti, Uganda. We are reaching out to HIV infected and affected children. We also are caring for new born babies, who lost their mother after the delivery. The third group of children we help, are children who need a safe place, they mostly come via the police. In this blog we want to share with you our stories, our pictures, our needs and blessings!

Emma is smiling, but lazy!!!

Emmanuel (Emma) was our Christmas baby in December 2014! At first it took some time, he was small and didn't seem such a happy baby. He was left by his mother, who has a mental illness. We have been trying to find relatives, but all in vain. In the meantime Emma really changed, he is now our most "smiling " baby in Amecet. You just call his name and he gives you one of his smiles! He is now 9 months old and he doesn't want to crawl. He only sits and smiles! We try, but no, Emma just sits!! We have seen it with another little boy, he also refused to crawl, and suddenly he started to pull himself up and started to walk! So we think this may be the case with Emma too.
We are working together with Probation office to look for a foster family. But we all love him!!!!
