Amecet n'ainapakin (Shelter of Peace) is a ministry of Youth With A Mission (YWAM)in Soroti, Uganda. We are reaching out to HIV infected and affected children. We also are caring for new born babies, who lost their mother after the delivery. The third group of children we help, are children who need a safe place, they mostly come via the police. In this blog we want to share with you our stories, our pictures, our needs and blessings!

Max is swinging on the music.

Max is not doing so well, we had to give him a NG tube, because he refuses to eat and he spit everything out.
He is 11 years old, so it is not easy to do this with a big boy like him. Of course he doesn't like the tube and he work is now to try to get it out. He can't hold things anymore, so he just moves his hand up and down. It is sad to see him going backwards like this, his weight is now 15 kg!
It seems that he has no pain, but he is sometimes shouting or moaning.
But yesterday we discovered something......... he loves music!!! And he starts smiling and moving his head  a bit on the rhythm. Janneke puts now her I-pad next to his head, he especially likes the music of a Christian group Trinity.
And when Janneke start dancing next to him, he really laughs! Good that we can make him smile and a bit happy!
