Amecet n'ainapakin (Shelter of Peace) is a ministry of Youth With A Mission (YWAM)in Soroti, Uganda. We are reaching out to HIV infected and affected children. We also are caring for new born babies, who lost their mother after the delivery. The third group of children we help, are children who need a safe place, they mostly come via the police. In this blog we want to share with you our stories, our pictures, our needs and blessings!

Up to the Trade show.......

Every year the Trade show comes to Soroti. All kind of clothes and bags etc. are there to buy. We went with the older children to this event...
There is a small zoo, with a few animals like a Lion, Monkey, Ostrich, Leopard, a big snake and some birds. Many of the schools around also visit this trade show and they get explanation about the animals. The children liked it, even Patrick came with us and Michel with his crutches.
There were two camels and the children could sit on them to make a small walk. But only Kenneth, Cathy and Patrick were brave enough to try..
Some guys walked around to paint the faces, you must be alert, before you know, they have painted your face. They did that to Helen, but she felt too old for that so she refused, we had to get the purple paint from her face!! But later Helen agreed with a flower on her arm...
 Kenneth was a happy butterfly!
And we had a happy group with us in the car!!
At the back from left to right: Kenneth, Jennifer and Cathy
in the front: Michel, Maliamu, Patrick and Helen.
Next year again!!!!
