Amecet n'ainapakin (Shelter of Peace) is a ministry of Youth With A Mission (YWAM)in Soroti, Uganda. We are reaching out to HIV infected and affected children. We also are caring for new born babies, who lost their mother after the delivery. The third group of children we help, are children who need a safe place, they mostly come via the police. In this blog we want to share with you our stories, our pictures, our needs and blessings!

World AIDS day 2014

It has become a tradition in Amecet, to remember and name the children who passed away in the year. We have years with 10 or 12 children, difficult to recall their suffering. but knowing that they are now safe in Jesus' arms. This year we "only" lost 4 children.
Our gathering in our living room. In the middle the table with the pictures of the children and  a candle for each one of them. In the middle a vase with flowers, representing the life of all the children who came through Amecet this year and recovered and are now blooming!!
Emmanuel, 6  months old, died 26th of December 2013
Esther, almost 2 months old, died 22nd of February 2014
Kave, 2 days old, died 4th of March 2014
Emmanuel, 3 days old, died  30th of June 2014

We got a small poem, what we want to dedicate to those little one's

God saw you

God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be.
So He wrapped His arms around you and whispered, "come to Me"
You didn't deserve what you went through, so He gave you rest.
God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best.
And when I saw you sleeping, so peaceful and free from pain
I could not wish you back to suffer that again.
