Amecet n'ainapakin (Shelter of Peace) is a ministry of Youth With A Mission (YWAM)in Soroti, Uganda. We are reaching out to HIV infected and affected children. We also are caring for new born babies, who lost their mother after the delivery. The third group of children we help, are children who need a safe place, they mostly come via the police. No gain without pain.

Gloria did not have a good day, yesterday I wrote about how we got her the new splints. Yesterday evening and also today we got a lot of tears from her. It is sad, she looks at you with those big eyes, asking: why do you put those things on my legs, they really hurt a lot!
We can not explain it to her, she just feels the pain.
I showed the staff how to put them on and also that we give her some breaks during the day, I know that, when she is 20 years old, will remember us and be thankful that we pushed her through this difficult time. We pray that her skin will not give any problems and that the pain will get less soon.
